Who Can Apply

We welcome applications from undergraduates currently enrolled in accredited universities within the United States and high school seniors who have been accepted into a university program for the spring semester 2025. 

Applicant must also meet the following criteria:

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must be a legal resident of the United States or a holder of a valid student visa
  • Must be currently enrolled in or accepted to a full-time undergraduate or graduate program in an accredited US college or university

 

How to Apply

1. Write an 800-word essay on one of the following topics

- The Cultural Significance of Coffee

Discuss the historical origins of coffee consumption in different cultures, and how it evolved. Explain how coffee influenced art, literature, and other forms of cultural expression throughout history.

- The Science of Coffee Roasting:

Delve into the chemical and physical processes involved in roasting coffee beans. Explain how different roasting techniques affect flavor profiles and aroma.

- Economic and Social Impacts of Coffee in Emerging Markets:

Focus on how coffee is shaping emerging economies and the lives of people in these regions, including aspects like entrepreneurship and development.


2. Send your essay to scholarship@bonescoffee.us as an attached PDF file along with the following details:

  • Your full name
  • The name of your school
  • Your major
  • Your expected graduation date (for high school seniors only)
